If you opened your own business, what would it be?

Some sort of non-profit that would combine Children, the Arts, and Food.

What advice would you give your younger self?

To be more confident, and to worry less.  I had to train myself to achieve confidence and to worry less.  I now work every day to instill confidence in my daughters. Such an important trait to give yourself.

Exceptional Skills-

I can touch my tongue to my nose.  I can also relate to almost any human being on a personal level.  I enjoy interacting with others and hearing their stories. This is why I enjoy leading my partners at work, as well as getting to know our customers.

What makes you feel fulfilled?

I am fulfilled when I help others succeed.  I enjoy developing my daughters as well as my partners at work to be their very best.  They help me to do the same for myself.

When asked to describe yourself, what’s the first word that pops into your mind?

I am a caring person who does not stray from the warmth and generous side of my personality.

Favorite Book-

Hard to pick just one.  Recently, The Book of Joy by the Dali Llama and Desmond Tutu has left a resounding impact upon my life.

What makes your heart race?

Espresso makes my heart race.  My team will not allow me to drink it because I become super anxious.  J

Organization or cause near to your heart-

Toss-up between Meals from the Heartland for their efforts to feed those in need and their exceptional organizational skills, as well as Toys for Tots.

What keeps you up at night?

Nothing keeps me up at night.  I am in bed and asleep by 9pm.  I think that I have earned a good night’s sleep after having two children.  They now put me to bed at night!  I also wake up awfully early to make coffee.

I have trained myself to not worry about things that I cannot control.  I am keenly aware of what areas of life that I can impact and change and am quick to let go of the areas that I cannot.  At times I believe that I can be too quick to let go, I find myself losing emotion along the way.

What is a belief you once held but no longer do?

I used to believe all of the reasons why I couldn’t accomplish something.  I would only focus on what might cause failure and why I shouldn’t try.  It was easier and less fulfilling.  I now only focus on why something can work.  Why I should try something, and why I would be successful.  This skill has come over time with the development of confidence in myself.

What are you interested in connecting with other women about?

I am interested in connecting with other women about everything.  I am curious about everyone’s journey and experience.  But mostly, I enjoy laughing and joking about our partners and families.
