If you opened your own business, what would it be?  A business that grooms talent. I believe a lot of people have potential but lack the support to venture into business or be innovative.

What advice would you give your younger self?  Be brave, bold and unapologetic.

Exceptional Skills- People, I love people.

What makes you feel fulfilled?  Seeing others achieve something positive.

When asked to describe yourself, what’s the first word that pops into your mind?

Surprised. I have been challenging myself lately to do things, new things and some that I used to be afraid of doing.  In the process, I am discovering a new me. So yeah, surprised at what I have accomplished.

Favorite Book- Right now I am reading "Girl Wash your Face" by Rachel Hollis. This book is speaking truth to me right now, a few quotes:

"Through the many rejections and starting an organization, I realized that each rejection and failure held meaning. A lesson that I needed to learn. The journey taught me so much about myself."

“Friends, it’s not about the goal or the dream you have. It’s about who you become on your way to that goal.

We all have dreams, they will only be realized when we act on them.

“Your dream is worth fighting for, and while you’re not in control of what life throws at you, you are in control of the fight.”

What makes your heart race?  Happiness! I am in a happy place and want to stay here forever.

Organization or cause near to your heart-  Of course the organization that I founded, PI 515, where we introduce young underserved youth to tech skills. At  PI 515, we seek to expose a diverse group of people to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and skills to help balance what we see as an inequity in their representation in STEM  fields today.  Also a cause near to my heart- refugees and girls.

What keeps you up at night? If I am up at night, I am probably working.

What is a belief you once held but no longer do?  Waiting for validation. Do you,

work hard believe in you and the right people will come along.

What are you interested in connecting with other women about?  Women have many stumbling blocks from careers to even starting businesses and any time we can connect to share ideas and stories, it is a plus. We can help learn from each other on how to balance, family, work, relationships, if there is a balance!
